Iva Stewart Dies Friday; Services Held
COLFAX – Services for Mrs. George (Iva) Stewart, 765 E. Division St., Colfax, were held today at the Christian Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Gaylon Decious, minister of the church, officiated and burial was in Colfax Cemetery.
Walters Funeral Home in Colfax handled arrangements.
Surviving are her widower, George; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Harris of Colfax; two sisters, Mrs. Pete Kall of Clare, Mich., Mrs. Irene Hote of Central Lake, Mich.; and a brother, Clyde Phillips of Tayler, Mich.
Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Pocahontas Lodge of Colfax.
The daughter of Fred and Bessie Umphress Phillips, she was born in Rensselaer, Ind.
She was married to George Wesley Stewart April 27, 1925, at Des Moines.
Mrs. Stewart died Friday at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
