Mrs. Peters, 75, Former Teacher Dies Thursday
Mrs. Margaret Killduff Peters, 75, died at her home Thursday afternoon after a heart attack. She had been confined to bed with arthritis for several months.
Services will be Saturday at 3:00 in the Morgan-Loehr Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Howard Boardman of the First Congregational Church. Burial will be in Newton Union cemetery.
She is survived by a brother, William C. Killduff, of Newton; three sisters, Mrs. J. P. Clarkson, Mrs. Ann Manning, and Mrs. Emma K. Finch, all of Newton; a nephew, Robert Killduff of Chicago; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Helen P. Peacock, West Frankfort, Ill.
Mrs. Peters had taught in Jasper county schools for many years. She taught in Newton for 17 years befoe her retirement and before that in Colfax and in West Frankfort.
She was educated in schools in Newton and Carbondale, Ill., and was a graduate of the University of Chicago.
Mrs. Peters was born in Jasper county, March 13, 1880, the daughter of Thomas and Catherine Weideman Killduff. She was married to E. C. Peters who preceded her in death.
