Ella Marshall, 83, Dies at Monroe
Mrs. Ella Marshall, 83, a life-long resident of Monroe and surrounding communities, died at 2:30 a.m. today at her home in Monroe.
Mrs. Marshall who would have been 84 years old Friday, had been ill for the past two years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Saturday at the Monroe Methodist church with the Rev. James Sloan, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in the Monroe cemetery.
Crumpacker Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by two sons, Lee and Roy, both of Monroe; four grandchildren; and a brother, will Crane of Monroe.
She was born in 1871 at Otley and was married to W. J. Marshall Sept. 25, 1889. The couple lived near Monroe until 1917 when they moved to Monroe.

Rites Held for Mrs. Marshall
Ellen Lillian Marshall, daughter of the late Edward and Regina Crane was born at Otley, Iowa on April 29, 1871 and departed from this life April 28, 1955 the day before her 84th birthday.
She moved with her parents to Sedalla, Missouri when a small child and at the age of 15, moved with her family to a farm east of Monroe, Iowa. She was married September 25, 1889 to William J. Marshall. To this union 2 children were born, Roy and Lee of Monroe, Iowa. They lived on a farm until 1917, when they move into Monroe, Iowa. She accepted Christ as her Savior and joined the Tool's Chapel Methodist Church, later transferring her membership to the Monroe Methodist. She attended church services as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the W. R. C.
