A message was received in this place last Friday, stating that David Pryor, son of Jesse Pryor residing west of town, had been found dead in his room at Moline, Ill. Mr. Pryor had been missing for two weeks. A great many theories were advanced about the cause, etc., of his death, and on last Sunday a grandson of Jesse Pryor, living in St. Paul, Minn., went to Moline to investigate the matter.
Mr. Pryor ran a novelty shop in Moline and had his rooms at his place of business but boarded outside. When they found the body it was badly decomposed and life had been extinct for about two weeks. The physicians at Moline made an examination and found he died from natural causes, probably heart failure. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, IA, Wednesday, September 6, 1905, Page 1, Column 3
