Olive M. Callison Dies at Hospital; Services Tuesday
Mrs. Roy (Olive M.) Callison, 80, 424 1st St. N., died today at Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of First Christian Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Sunday. The casket will be closed at 1 p.m. Tuesday and not reopened.
Surviving are her widower, Roy; a step-son, Russell Callison, Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Hazel) Webb, Curlew; two step daughters, Mrs. Deloris Mesch, Citrus Heights, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Britt, San Francisco, Calif.; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Callison was a member of the Christian Church.
The daughter of Anson and Eunice Tight, she was born at St. Anthony Jan. 27, 1889.
She was married Aug. 11, 1950, at First Christian Church, Newton.
Mrs. Callison resided in Marshalltown before moving to Newton in 1950. ~ The Newton Daily News, April 5, 1969
