Former Resident Dies

Metz, Ia. -- Mrs. Edna Callison died at her home in Fort Des Moines Tuesday morning at 11:00 o'clock, shortly following a stroke.

Funeral services at 2:00 o'clock from the Metz church and burial will be made in the Sugar Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Callison, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Phelps of the Sugar Grove neighborhood, was born and raised in the Metz community. Mr. and Mrs. Callison made their home west of Metz for a number of years, before moving to Fort Des Moines.

She is survived by her husband, Hallie Callison; a daughter, Corliss at home and a sister, Mrs. Walter Cox of Des Moines. She is also a sister-in-law of Otto Callison of Newton. ~ Jasper County Record, February 25, 1932, page 2, column 6.
