Miss Walker, resident of Newton for 47 years, had been in ill health for several years but had been bedfast only 10 days previous to her death. Her sister, Mrs. Harriett Reynolds of Newton, who has been living at the Old Soldiers Home at Marshalltown, has been with her for three weeks.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral home, with Ensign George Watts in charge. Interment was in the Newton Union cemetery.

Mrs. Walker was a member of the Baptist church and attended regularly as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. George B. Rogers, and one brother, F. Irvin Walker, all of Newton. Her parents, three brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, Monday, July 16, 1934.
