Another home was made sad and desolate this morning at 5 a.m. Edith, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. D. Donahey, died after an illness of ten days of pneumonia.

Edith was born near Kellogg and would have been fifteen years old the _____ of next May. She attended the public schools of this city and was a pupil in Miss Coppersmith’s room, a classmate of little Hazel Failor who did of the same disease, and having been ill about the same length of time, only a few weeks ago.

The funeral will be held at the home, one mile north of Newton, Friday morning at 10 a.m., Rev. J. W. Back having charge of the services. Her cousins will be pallbearers. The interment will be in the Newton cemetery. ~ The Newton [IA] Daily News, Wednesday, March 22, 1905, Page 1, Column 1
