Dawson Funeral Held Sunday Afternoon at Union Chapel
Funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon at Union Chapel near Ira for Helen Anna Dawson, 20 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Dawson who died Saturday afternoon. The pastor of the Melbourne Christian church was in charge of the services and music was furnished by friends of the little girl. Pall bearers were four little friends of the child.
Helen Anna died Saturday afternoon from the effects of eating a quantity of laxative tablets. She was ill only an hour and a half. She was the youngest of a family of five children, one brother having preceded her in death 10 years ago.
Surviving her are her parents, two brothers Lee and Glen and two sisters, Opal and Marjorie, her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Couch of Indianola and Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Dawson of Newton, her great grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Jicklin of Ira, two uncles, Riley Couch of Indianola and R. M. Dawson of Newton and one aunt, Mrs. Burl Bell of Newton.
