News Kodak, Feb. 13 – Graham – At his room over Scott & Son’s store, Thursday morning, Feb. 14, 1901, about 5 o’clock, John Graham, the jeweler.
He had been complaining of biliousness for about a week, but was able to be about, as usual and was taken suddenly worse Wednesday night. Dr. McConnaughey, who has rooms on the same floor was awakened by his calls, went to his room and with others administered to his wants, but he never rallied and life was soon extinct.
He has lived here quite a number of years, was a good workman, but let strong drink wreck his manhood, break up his home and separate him from wife and children.
Relatives from Adel arrived here Thursday evening and will take the body to that place today for burial.
