COLFAX - Margaret (Peg) Buckroyd, 78, of rural Colfax, a longtime resident of the Colfax area, died early today, July 24, at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

COLFAX - Funeral services for Margaret "Peg" Buckroyd, 78, of Colfax will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. Eldon G. Nolte, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

She died Tuesday morning, July 24, at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today, July 25, at the funeral home.

Survivors are a brother, Bill Buckroyd of Clearview Manor in Prairie City; a sister, Harriett Hinshaw of Van Nuys, Calif.; and two nieces, Mrs. Richard (Eleanor) Lester of Colfax and Mrs. Manfred (Sharron) Schneider of Sepulveda, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and six brothers.

Miss Buckroyd, a member of the Pocahontas Lodge, was a retired employee of the Maytag Co.

The daughter of John W. and Mary Ann Rowley Buckroyd, she was born July 18, 1906 in Colfax and attended rural Schools. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Wed 25 July 1984 page 2.
