Pearl Baerenwald Rites Held Dec. 11

Pearl Verdoorn Baerenwald, 71, a resident of Colfax since 1959, died Sunday, Dec. 8, at her home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, Minn.

The Rev. Dale Cunningham, pastor of the Worthington Presbyterian Church, conducted services. Burial was in Worthington Cemetery.

Survivors are a son, Larry of Colfax; a daughter Donna Larimer of newton; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Also surviving are a brother, Jack Verdoorn of Brandon, S.D. and two sisters, Elsie Reinke of Sibley and JoAnn Shoemaker of Fairfield.

Mrs. Baerenwald was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence Walter, and a daughter, Kathy Berg.

Mrs. Baerenwald was an employee of the Winpower Co. in Newton for several years.

The daughter of Neal and Grace Zylstra Verdoorn, she was born Feb. 14, 1920 in Sheldon.
