H. Glenn Huff Services Are Held Wednesday

LYNNVILLE-SULLY - Funeral services for H. Glenn Huff, 70, of Rt. 1, Lynnville, were held Wednesday at the Sully Community Church.

The Rev. John T. Cocoris, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell handled arrangements.

Memorial contributions to the Sully Community Church will be accepted.

He died Monday morning at Grand Rapids, Minn.

Survivors are his wife, Phoebe; three step-children, John Rupp Jr. of Grinnell, Mrs. Melvin (LaReta) Gauley of Brooklyn and Mrs. Lyle (Doris) Neleman of Kellogg; seven step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul of Kent, wash., and Lloyd of Eagle Point, Ore.; and four sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Frances) Flint, Mrs. Eugene (Lillian) McClure and Mrs. Gordon (Lois) Van Donselaar, all of Grinnell, and Mrs. Eldon (Helen) Speas of Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Inez, in 1960; two brothers, Robert and Rolland; and a sister, Mrs. Jane Harper.

Mr. Huff, who had been employed by the state of Alaska as a surplus merchant and budget analyst and had operated a home appliance store in Medford, Ore., moved to Grinnell in 1969 and to the Lynnville area in 1976.

He was a member of the Sully Community Church.

The son of James and Wilhelmina O'Neill Huff, he was born Dec. 1, 1908 in Clear Lake, was raised in Owatonna, Minn., was graduated from Grinnell Community High School in 1947, attended Asbury College in Willmore, Ky., and Grinnell College and was graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle, Wash.

He was married to Inez Bailey at Nashua and to Phoebe Wilson Rupp in 1976 at her home near Lynnville. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Thursday 26 July 1979.
