Russell Evans Bump a former Grinnellians, he was born in Grinnell and moved to Phoenix, passed away August 4, 1996.

The son of Mr & Mrs. Wesley bump. He was survived by his widow, Ethel and their children. Daughter, Shawn E. Backus and son, Robert Russell Bump. Along with 5 grandchildren; Shawn's children Bradley, Christopher and Brittany, and Robert's children AZ & Sasha Minton.
