Gomer Thomas the son of Arthur and Mary Jane Pratt Thomas, he was born Sept 26, 1912 in Seavers.
Married Mary J. Ettelson April 7, 1934 in Newton.
Mr. Thomas retired in 1973 after more than 30 years of employment at the Maytag Co.

Funeral services for Gomer Thomas, 83 a resident of Newton since 1943 will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Pence Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife, Mary J., two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard of Huntington Beach, Calif. and James and Terry of San Diego, Calif: six grandchildren: two great-grandchildren: and three brothers, David of Healdsburg, Calif. James R. and Arthur G. both of Colfax.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Phillip, and four sisters, Gladys, Amelia, Dorothy and Phillis Ann.
