Katie Henning Dies Monday; Rites Wednesday
BAXTER – Katie Henning, 93, of Baxter died Monday morning at the Jasper County Home southeast of Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ira United Methodist Christian Church of Christ.
The Rev. Richard Clark, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Union Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Ira United Methodist Christian Church of Christ will be accepted.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is handling arrangements.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Mathews, Mrs. Anna Campbell and Miss Rosa Henning, all of Baxter, two nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother.
Miss Henning was a member of the Ira United Methodist Christian Church of Christ, the Bethel Missionary Society and the Ira Garden Club.
The daughter of John George and Eva Barbara Mussig Henning, she was born June 28, 1880 at Ira and attended Ira schools and Colfax Community High School.
