Edward M. Blake Services Are Set Saturday
Funeral services for Edward M. Blake, 80, of 807 ½ N. 2nd Ave. W., a resident of Newton for 20 years, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Henderson Funeral Home in Toledo.
The Rev. Charles Fry, pastor of the Garwin Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Garwin Cemetery.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Pauline) Beck of Newton, Mrs. D. C. (Jean) McMahon of El Segundo, Calif., and Mrs. D. E. Rulene) Dutoit of Garwin; a son, Wayne E. Blake of Simi, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.
The son of Enoch and Alice Blake he was born June 24, 1894.
He was married to Mavis M. Shrader Jan. 19, 1916.
Mr. Blake was a retired farmer.
He died Wednesday at the Clear View Manor Nursing Home in Prairie City.
