Services for Russel Henry Woody were held January 9, 2006 at the Palmcroft Baptist Church. Interment was in Resthaven Park Cemetery in Phoenix.
Russ Woody, 47, died December 28, 2005 at his home in Phoenix, Arizona.
He had been hospitalized twice for spinal surgery and gastrointestinal complications.
Russ was the son of Coralee Vriezelaar Woody and Bill Woody. He was currently head of “Project Care” Phoenix division. This is a Christian organization that collects unused medical equipment and supplies and distributes it to needy countries.
Russ is survived by his children, Megan and Jamie Woody, his parents, and a sister, Claire (Bill) Gordon, all of Phoenix, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, residing in Iowa and New York.
