Life Story of Mrs. Ella B. Woody
Mrs. Henry J. (Ella B.) Woody, 94, of Reasnor, a lifelong resident of Jasper County passed away Wednesday evening, March 10, at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. Harold Harryman, associate pastor of the Newton First United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Survivors are three sons, Avery of Monroe and Hoyt and Horace, both of Reasnor: 23 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Wheeler and Mrs. Mabel Van Ness, both of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1958, three daughters, a grandson, five brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Woody was a member of the Reasnor United Methodist Church.
The daughter of Peter and Lean Wolfe Brodersen, she was born __ 22, 1876, on a farm north of Reasnor.
She was married to Henry J. Woody April 29, 1899 at Reasnor.
