Life Story of Orba Wood
Funeral services for Orba L. Wood, 41, former Jasper county resident, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Moline (Ill.) Gospel Church.
Burial was in Memorial Gardens in Moline.
Mr. Wood died Friday evening at the Moline Public Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice, a son, stepdaughter, his mother Mrs. Amber Van Gorden, and a brother Wilbur, all of Moline.
Born in Monroe, Mr. Wood attended schools at Kellogg. He was an employee of the Maytag Co. and Automatic Co. in Newton and Mid-West Metal Stamping Co. in Kellogg.
Mr. Wood, who left Jasper county approximately 10 years ago, served with the Army in World War II.
