Services Held
Services for Kenneth W. Winegar were held September 24, 2001, at the Christian Reformed Church in Prairie City. Rev. Adrian Eising officiated the services. Interment was in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
He passed away September 20, 2001, at the Pella Regional Health Center.
The son of William and Ethel (Frazier) Winegar, Kenneth was born May 26, 1913. On May 6, 1936, he was united in marriage to Mildred Van Dusseldorp at her parent’s home near Prairie City. A lifelong resident of the Prairie City and Mitchellville area, Kenneth farmed and was also a mechanic for E. M. Brubaker and Sons in Prairie City.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mildred; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Karla of Sully, and Marvin and Marla of Altoona; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Gladys Heemsbergen of Penrose, Colorado, and a brother, Gifford Winegar of Pella.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ila Sparks.
