Life Story of Clarence Wilson
Funeral services for Clarence Wilson were held Monday, May 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Rapid City, S.D., with Rev. Kenneth Voss and Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson passed away May 17 at a Rapid City hospital following an extended illness.
Born May 26, 1910, he was employed for 20 years by Northwestern Engineering Co. and for two years by Rapid Plumbing Co. before becoming ill.
He is survived by his wife, the former Zola Ross; three sons, Clarence, Jr. of Des Moines, and Walter and Wayne of Piedmont, S.D.; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Sahle of Aberdeen, S.D., Janice, Peggy and DeAnne at home; a brother, Harold of Aberdeen, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Faye Gross of Sisseton, S.D., and Mrs. Mary Cochran of John Day, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jessie Waddle Wilson, and a brother, Leland, who lost his life while serving with the Air Force.
Mr. Wilson formerly lived in the Monroe and Percy areas.
