Life Story of Mrs. John Willemsen
Mrs. John A. (Christina) Willemsen, 69, a former longtime resident of the rural Reasnor area, died November 22 at the Hilltop Manor in Pella.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Pella Garden Chapel.
The Rev. Donald Gattrelle, pastor of the Killduff Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Hewitt Cemetery near Reasnor.
Survivors are a son, John of Reasnor; a granddaughter, Ann Marie Willemsen; two sisters and five brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1971, two daughters and a brother.
The daughter of Everett and Christina Van Doorland Vande Voort, she was born August 18, 1903, in Doode Waard, Gilderland, The Netherlands.
As a young child she came to the United States with her parents.
She was married February 6, 1923 at Galesburg.
