Monroe - Barbara Stine was born in Louisville, Ky., Feb. 28, 1828. Moved with her parents in childhood to Orleans, Indiana. Married in 1849 to Wm. Whitted, with her husband came to Iowa in the spring of 1851 being a resident of Monroe 58 years. She passed away Oct. 1, 1909 being at the time of her death, 81 years, 7 months and 3 days old.
