Elva Whitted, 86, Dies at Monroe; Services Pending
Monroe – Mrs. Elva A. Whitted, 86, died Monday evening at her home in Monroe.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
The Rev. Donald Brong, minister of the Monroe Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery.
Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Whitted is survived by a daughter, Velta Jarnagin of Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Warner of Monroe; and a granddaughter, Mrs. G. A. (Dorothy Jean) Mathews of Tokyo, Japan.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Ivor.
Mrs. Whitted was a member of the Monroe Baptist Church.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lackey, she was born Aug. 2, 1875 in Marion County.
