Services Held
Walter Wheatcraft, 86 of Knoxville died Saturday, Feb. 18, 1989, at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital. Services were held Tuesday at Knoxville Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery in Jasper County.
Mr. Wheatcraft was born in Jasper County and had lived in Killduff and Monroe before moving to Knoxville. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Illa; three sons, Merle of Chariton, Larry of Des Moines and Dale of Arkansas; a sister, Jenny Riley of Versailles, Mo.; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Knoxville, IA – Walter Wheatcraft, 86, of Knoxville died of a heart ailment Saturday at Knoxville Area Community Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Knoxville Regular Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Jasper County.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Williams Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
