Services to be Held
Graveside services for Alberta A. Wells of Monroe will be held Friday, at 10 a.m. The services will be at Monroe Silent City Cemetery with Rev. Philip Cardenzana performing the services. There will be no visitation.
Alberta passed away Tuesday, December 16, 1997, at Skiff Medical Center of Cancer.
The daughter of Sylis and Zelda Cook, Alberta was born October 7, 1923, in Des Moines. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Des Moines and the College of Nursing in Des Moines. She was an RN at the Jasper County Home Care. In 1965, she was married to John C. Wells. She made her home in Des Moines until moving to Jasper County in 1975.
Alberta is survived by her husband, John Wells of rural Newton and her son, Kent A. Cook, of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
