Services Held
Clyde “Joe” Waters, 71, a longtime resident of the Prairie City and Monroe areas, died Monday, Jan. 2.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 5, 1984 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Burial was in Vandalia Cemetery near Runnells.
Survivors are his wife, Ella; a daughter, Linda Kain of Runnells, a stepdaughter, Joy Rodriquez of Des Moines; a stepson, Marlo Feick of Templeton; a sister, Cleo McReynolds of Prairie City; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The son of Peter and Hattie Porter Waters, he was born and educated in the Prairie City area.
He farmed west and east of Monroe from 1943 until 1970 when he moved to Des Moines.
