Services Held
Funeral services for William “Bill” Warrick were held July 23, 1984 at the First Baptist Church in Monroe. Rev. Greg Boyle officiated with interment in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

William Warrick, son of John and Elizabeth Warrick, was born in Colfax, Iowa on November 16, 1915 and died July 20, 1984 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
He spent his early life in the Colfax area and graduated from Mingo High School. In 1934, he and his parents including a younger brother, Ernest, moved to Monroe, where in partnership with George Orcutt produced Lester Pfister Hybrid Corn. His early interest in farming began in 4-H and continued throughout his Purebred Hampshire business in partnership with his son.

In 1938 he was united in marriage to Elise Zerley. Following their marriage they lived in the Monroe area and later moved to Red Rock. In 1947 the family moved to Prairie City.
He is survived by his wife Elise, a daughter, Pat (Mrs. Norbert Bruns) and a son, Bill. He is also survived by four grandchildren, a brother Ernest of Prairie City and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
