Life Story of Clarence Walker
Funeral services were held Friday Sept. 14, 1979 at the United Methodist Church in Monroe for Clarence E. Walker, Rev. Jerry Wolcott presided with interment at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Clarence E. Walker, son of John William and Margaret Ellen (Montgomery) Walker was born in Jasper County on June 17, 1894 and passed away Tuesday Sept. 11 at the Pella Community Hospital.
On Feb. 16, 1921, he was united in marriage to Florence Klos. To this union three children were born. Surviving are his wife, three children: Raymond F. Walker, Prairie City, Everett D. Walker and Mrs. Clarence (Dolores) Van Ryswyk, both of Des Moines. Also six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Iva Lovett of Prairie City and Mrs. Laura Whittaker of Mitchellville and two brothers, James (Jim Walker) of El Segundo, Calif., and Guy Walker of Altoona; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
