Life Story of Arie Vink
Arie Vink, Sr., 69, of Reasnor died December 24 in the Pella Community Hospital.
He was born December 15, 1899, in Jasper County, a son of John and Anna Ippel Vink, Sr. He spent most of his life in Jasper County where he farmed. He married Nellie DeJong on December 29, 1920. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Pella. He made confession of faith at the age of 22 in the Eddyville Christian Reformed Church.
Surviving besides his wife are three children, Mrs. Frank (Anna) Hettinga of Denver, Colo., Nicholas P. Vink of Pella, and Arie Vink, Jr. of rural Reasnor; three brothers and two sisters, Gerrit and John Vink of Pella, Martin Vink of Leighton, and Mrs. G. R. (Minnie) Van Dyk and Sadie Vink of Pella. Thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, in the First Christian Reformed Church of Pella. The services were conducted by the Rev. John H. Piersma.
Godert C. Vander Hart sang two hymns, accompanied by Mrs. Gysbert Ver Meer. Neighbors acting as casket bearers were Francis Van Zante, John A. Vander Werff, Louis Van Vark, Arthur Vander Werff, Jerry Van Den Berg and Alfred Vander Werff.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery of Pella.
