Services were held Monday, February 20, 1984, at the Sully Christian Reformed Church, Sully for Johanna Versendaal. She passed away at the Des Moines General Hospital, Feb. 16.
Johanna Versendaal, daughter of Adrian and Marie Vos Geenen, was born December 10, 1898, in Strijen, Netherlands. On Jan. 25, 1924, she was united in marriage to Andrew Versendaal. To this union six children were born. Johanna came to the United States at the age of thirteen.
Mrs. Versendaal is survived by a son, Adrian of Grinnell; four daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Mathilda) Van Sant; Mrs. Darrel (Marie) Lender; Mrs. Lyle John (Dorothy) Latchum, all of Grinnell; Mrs. Louis (Joann) Terlouw of Prairie City; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
