Life Story of Andrew Versendaal
Andrew Versendaal, 76, of Sully died Thursday at the DeJong Hardware in Sully where he was an employee.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church in Sully Monday afternoon.
The Rev. Paul Bakker, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Sully Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Johanna; a son, Adrian of rural Grinnell; four daughters, Mrs. Louis (Joan) Terlouw of rural Prairie City; Mrs. Lyle (Dorothy) Latcham of Grinnell, Mrs. Clarence (Mathilda) Van Sant of rural Grinnell, and Mrs. Darrell (Marie) Lender of rural Searsboro; 25 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
He was preceded in death by a son in infancy, a grandson, a granddaughter, two brothers and a sister.
The son of Arie and Teuntje Graas Versendaal, he was born April 27, 1897, in Strijen, The Netherlands.
He was married to Johanna C. Geenen January 26, 1924 in Sully
