Services Held
Services for Bessie F. Simbro, 89, were held Monday, November 8, 1999, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Chaplain Merle Smith officiated the services. Burial was in Dunreath Cemetery.
Bessie passed away at Skiff Medical Center in Newton on Friday, November 5, 1999.
She was born in Vandalia, March 14, 1910, the daughter of William and Mary L. (Reynolds) Wagner. On October 22, 1928, she was united in marriage to Earl Raymond Simbro at Runnells, Iowa. Bessie was employed for many years at the Monroe Dress Club Cleaners.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law Clifford and Pat Simbro, Newton and Bernard and Mary Simbro, Reasnor; a daughter and son-in-law Coral Lee and Eldon Marshall, Monroe, fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Stella Wade of Colfax as well as many other relatives and friends.
Her husband preceded her in death on August 29, 1984. Also preceding her were her parents, and nine brothers and sisters.
