Services Today
Services for Janice “Jennie” (Vander Kraan) Sille will be held today, Thursday, January 13, 2000, at 1:30 p.m. at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The Rev. Joel Brummel, Pastor of the First Reformed Church officiated the services. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
Janice passed away Saturday, January 8, 2000 at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Born August 22, 1906, in Prairie City, Jennie was the daughter of William Adrian and Henrietta Izaak Roorda Vander Kraan. She was a 1926 graduate of Prairie City High School and attended William Penn College and also Iowa State Teachers College. She had been a teacher and had done housekeeping. She also was a member of the First Reformed Church in Prairie City.
Jennie is survived by on son, Donald Leroy Sille of Ventura, California; one daughter and son-in-law, Edna May and Larry Greene of Prairie City; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Memorials in her name may be left at the funeral home.
