Life Story of Dick J. Sille
Dick J. Sille, 59, a resident of Monroe for 31 years, died Monday at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Monroe United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Warren McFate, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Monroe Silent City Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Opal; a son, Alfred John Sille of Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Shirley Rae) Rose of Maynard; five grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Aalbers of Pella.
Mr. Sille was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and a 28-year member of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department.
He had been employed by the Vermeer Manufacturing Co. of Pella.
The son of John and Nellie DeJong Sille, he was born September 22, 1912 at Otley and attended Otley schools.
He was married to Opal Luella Currier October 21, 1937 at Otley.
