Life Story of Mildred Shultz
Mrs. Edward S. (Mildred Carroll) Shultz, 49, of Reasnor, died Saturday at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Monroe.
Elder Arthur Nichols conducted the services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Survivors are her husband, five children, Ernest Shultz of Monroe, Mrs. Robert (Linda) Marshall of Fairfield, Gary Shultz of Newton, Larry Shultz of Newton and Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Penning of Newton.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathy Sue, and two brothers.
The daughter of Bertie and Lillian Pettis Layton, she was born Jan. 17, 1928, at Osceola. She was married Nov. 12, 1946 in Lawrence, Kan.
