David Paul Schut, 45, of Monroe, died Wednesday, November 5, 1997 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Prairie City First Reformed Church with the Rev. Joel Brummel, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in Waveland Cemetery.
The son of Gilbert and Johana De Koning Schut, he was born December 2, 1951 in Newton. He graduated from Prairie City High School in 1970.
He married Vickie Vos January 7, 1972 in Princeton, Missouri.
A lifelong resident of Jasper county, Mr. Schut was employed as a service manager at Prairie Ag Supply in Prairie City. He was a member of the First Reformed Church, Prairie City Volunteer Fire Department and Good Timers Dance Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul James of Prairie City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Angie Kaye and Patty Ann and Eric Wade, all of Prairie City; a grandchild; a brother, Timothy of Pella; and his parents.
