Life Story of Melvin Schultz
Funeral services for Melvin Leslie Schultz, 68, of Sully, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday (today) at the St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church near Sully.
The Rev. H. H. Lindquist, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Dorothy) Kleinendorst of Newton; two step grandchildren, Mrs. Gaylen Heyveld of Monroe and Perry Kleinendorst of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Chrystal) Angle of Malibu, Calif.; and Mrs. Lewie (Kathryn) Vander Pol of rural Newton.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Castorf in May 1935, a daughter, Doris Ilean, in infancy and a brother, Lewie Schultz. Mr. Schultz was a member of the St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church.
He had been a farmer in the Sully and Reasnor communities.
The son of Lewis and Katherine Dieleman Schultz, he was born September 25, 1905, near Reasnor.
He was married to Frances Castorf September 3, 1930. On December 15, 1938, he married Hazel Kling.
He died Monday at Sully.
