Services Held
Georgia M. Ross, age 89 of Monroe, died Monday, October 8, 2007, at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery.

The daughter of Charles and Gladys (Hummel) Lewis, Georgia was born on January 1, 1918, in Monroe, Iowa. She was a graduate of Monroe High School and was united in marriage to S. Ivan Ross on January 21, 1939. Georgia volunteered many hours with the American Red Cross.
Survivors are her children, Mary Stewart of Monroe, C. Linn Ross of Des Moines and Carl Ross. Also surviving are six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a brother, J. H. Lewis of Des Moines.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three children and a grandchild.
