Services Held
Funeral services for Royal G. "Buss” Rorabaugh, 81, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, were held, July 3, 1992, at the Reese Chapel.
The Rev. Garold Quick, pastor of the Metz Community Church, conducted services. Burial was in Rorabaugh Cemetery in rural Colfax.
Memorials to the Metz Community Church or the American Cancer Society will be accepted.
He died Wednesday at Clearview Manor.
Survivors are three brothers, John and Rex, both of rural Colfax, and Wayne of rural Reasnor; and a sister, Wanda (Mrs. George) Selbher of rural Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
Mr. Rorabaugh, a former past member of the Sugar Grove Grange, had caught for the Metz baseball team for many years.
He was employed at the Newton Water Works until retiring in 1975.
The son of Fred and Mary Jane Hummel Rorabaugh, he was born July 20, 1910 on a farm east of Colfax and attended the Rorabaugh Country School in rural Colfax.
Mr. Rorabaugh had resided in Newton and Colfax and for 15 years in Millerton. He made his home with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Selbher, for two years prior to moving to the Clearview Manor.
