Life Story of Grace Romans
Mrs. William (Lydia Grace) Romans, 85, of Monroe, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Sunday in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Monroe United Methodist Church.
The Rev. James Poulsen, minister of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in Monroe Cemetery.
Survivors are two sons, James Bond Romans of Silver Spring, Md.; and William Robert Romans of Sykesville, Md., and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Mrs. Romans was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
The daughter of Stephen A. Bond and Lydia Anderson Bond, she was born in Jasper County.
