Life Story of Walter Rexroat
Funeral services for Walter T. Rexroat, 73, of Newton, a longtime resident of Jasper County, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. B. L. Payne, pastor of the Immanuel Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Monroe.
Survivors are his wife, Mina; two brothers, David of Monroe and Donald of Newton; four sisters, Mrs. Roy (Freda) Nolin of Monroe, Miss Fern Rexroat of Knoxville, Mrs. Marguerite Den Hoedt of Knoxville and Mrs. Leo (Helen) Waits of Pella.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in infancy.
Mr. Rexroat was employed as a plumber and carpenter.
The son of Frank and Minnie Strahn Rexroat, he was born Jan. 12, 1902 near Reasnor.
He was married to Mina Bailey June 14, 1969 in Newton.
He died Monday morning in the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
