Services Held
Funeral services for Margaret “Peggy” Reetz, 76, a longtime resident of Monroe were held August 27, 1990 at the Monroe United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Jerry McGee, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Graveside memorial services were conducted by Chapter BH-PEO of Monroe.
Mrs. Reetz died Friday at the Pella Community Nursing Home.
Survivors are a daughter, Dr. Rebecca Reetz of Lowell, Mass.; and two sisters, Lois Christenson of Grand Forks, N.D., and Alora Yanzick of Ronan, Mont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ted, and two brothers.
Mrs. Reetz was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church, Chapter BH-PEO in Monroe and was a former longtime 4-H leader.
The daughter of Harmona and Kittie Belle Johnston Floyd, she was born July 9, 1919 at Alzada, Mont., and was a graduate of Spearfish, S.D. High School.
She was married to Ted Reetz August 19, 1939 in Des Moines and had resided in Monroe since her marriage.
