Life Story of Kathy L. Rector
Kathy Lyn Rector, 18, of Rt. 1, died Wednesday evening in a bathtub drowning accident in Ankeny.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the First Baptist Church in Monroe.
The Rev. Eldon Pals, pastor of the church conducted the services. Burial was in the Monroe Silent City Cemetery.
Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. La Verne Rector of Monroe; a sister, Cindy Rector of Monroe; a sister, Cindy Rector of Monroe; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Cecil Rector of Monroe; her paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Rose Fouch of Nelson Manor in Newton; an uncle Clifford Klein of Newton and an aunt, Mrs. Marvin Leonard of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Elvina Klein, and her paternal grandfather, Cecil Rector.
Miss Rector was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monroe and a student at First Baptist Bible College in Ankeny.
The daughter of LaVerne and Doris Klein Rector, she was born May 4, 1958 in Kansas City, Mo., and educated in Monroe and Ankeny schools.
