Services Held
Funeral services for Gladys E. Rector, 88, of Embassy Manor Care Center in Newton, former Monroe resident, were held Friday, Nov 17 at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home. Rev. Eldon Pals, retired pastor, Baptist Church officiated.
Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
She died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1989 at Skiff Medical Center.
Survivors are LaVerne and Doris Rector of Monroe and granddaughter Cindy Klootwyk of Knoxville.
The daughter of Isaac and Rose Shannon Fouch she was born April 4, 1901 in Jasper County, Monroe, Iowa.
She married Cecil L. Rector on February 23, 1922 in Monroe.
