Services held
Funeral services for Jennie Pulver, 82, of Des Moines, formerly of Monroe were held Friday, January 25, 1985 at the First Baptist Church in Monroe. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia, Iowa. She passed away, Tuesday, January 22, 1985 at Mercy Hospital of complications following surgery.
Mrs. Pulver was born in Monroe County and lived in that area until moving to Monroe in 1952.
Survivors are one sister, Hazel, of Centerville, one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Ethelyn) Jones of Des Moines; two sons, Francis Gillespie of Downers Grove, Illinois, and Eugene Gillespie of St. Charles, Illinois. Two stepsons, Marvin Pulver, of Prairie City and Verlinn Pulver of Crete, Nebraska; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Marvin (Mildred) Gilbert of Prairie City; Mrs. Jim (Norma) Smith of Des Moines and Mrs. Bob (Audrey) Murry of Artesia, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 20 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur Gillespie in March 1963 and her second husband, Francis Pulver, in September 1981, her parents and one brother and also a great granddaughter and one stepson.
