Services Held
Funeral services were held for Charles W. Pope on Monday, February 13, 1984 at the Chapel of Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home. He died Feb. 11 at the Pella Community Hospital.
Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Charles William Pope was the first of six children born to Clarence G. and Alta Vander Linden Pope on Sept. 20, 1911 in Pella, Iowa. He was married to Ada Zegers and to this union three children were born: a daughter who died in infancy, Carroll and Marcia.
Surviving are two children Carroll of Pella and Marcia, Mrs. John McConeghey of Monroe; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Clara, Mrs. Melvin Adey of Des Moines and two brothers: John Pope of Dallas, Iowa and Raymond Pope of Pella.
Preceding him in death besides his infant daughter were his parents, and two brothers, Ralph and Daniel.
