Services were held Saturday, January 7, 1984 in Des Moines for Norman Poortinga, 64, with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Born in Monroe, Mr. Poortinga had lived most of his life in Des Moines and was a retired employee of Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company. Survivors include his wife and a son, a brother and four sisters.
