Peter Pol, 73, longtime resident of the Otley area, died Saturday, May 19 at the Pella Community Hospital.
Born at Woude Utrecht, Gilderland, The Netherlands July 20, 1899, Peter was the son of Peter and Martha Pol.
He came to America in March 1921 and farmed in the Otley, Pella area until he retired in 1962 and moved to Pella.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; four children, Leonard Pol of Pella, Marvin Pol of Searsboro, Mrs. Jacob (Wilma) Goodyk of Harvey and Mrs. Henry (Jeanette) Van Hol of Pella; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters in The Netherlands.
Funeral services were held May 22 at the Otley Reformed Church with the Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiating.
Interment as in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
